It all started on MySpace, that funky social media hang-out that people now make fun of. Well, way before Facebook and Google+, MySpace was where it’s at. Lorenzo had a page there and he made lots of friends–crazy, creative, eccentric friends.
There was Rocco Johnson, the Maine coon cat who did Elvis Presley imitations. There were two cats known as Orange & Orange Attorneys at Paw–these guys now have their own book published. There was Belle the Donkey, who used to steal hay from neighboring horses and bite people when she didn’t get enough carrots. There were The Texas Cats, a gang of four whose mama packed a gun and would shoot anyone who trespassed on her land. And there was Diego the Parrot, who used to send messages to Lorenzo telling him that his eyes looked like ripe, green grapes and that he dreamed of plucking them out and eating them for lunch.
Yes, it was a lively place, where humans and animals allowed themselves to be irreverent and outrageous, and Lorenzo had a grand time while there. But, like all things, there comes a time when you have to move on.
Thanks, MySpace, you gave a lot of people a lot of laughs.
